OpenOffice real-time Word Counter

Camsung

Does anyone know how to get OpenOffice to show the number of words in the document while you are typing like Microsoft Word does? This is the only feature that is missing and I find it really useful. Any help would be appreciated :)

Oh and if you are wondering how to get it to display while you're typing, impossibru

Why is it so hard to implement this feature? It's so annoying having to check the word count every 5 minutes :(

LibreOffice tells you the word count and the character count at the bottom while typing.

How do you get LibreOffice to show recently opened documents when dragging up from the icon in the taskbar? All other programs do this except LibreOffice (I think this feature is built into Windows 7 and is called jumplist).

It's a feature available in windows 7 but the jumplist functionality actually needs to be programmed into the software before it is usable.

No idea, I don't use that feature of Windows and actually have it turned off globally, along with only using the portable version of LibreOffice I wouldn't know.
