Laptop for my mom - Max 600 usd

Srry for troubling yall but im really ignorant about laptops and my mom came and asked me for advice for a new laptop (for work) and i have literally no idea, i read a few topics but i didnt found any recommendation so far that satisfied me so ill make a new post
 

Requierements:

Price : 600-800 (It can be a bit higher but she is kinda fainting at that price range.. so she is definitely gonna die if i say $1000 lol )
Screen: 15"-17"

Hdd: 1 Tb (If possible SSHD its ok if its not, ill just upgrade it later)
Webcam
Ports: VGA (If possible, if not ill buy an adapter and make her carry it), Minimum 2 usb

Dvd writer ( I can totally buy an external usb but id be nice if it had it )

Those are the work horses that you want if you want the best reliability for your money.

Lenovo Z50 series
HP Probook series

Those are the more casual options with decent specs and okay build. I'd suggest a 256GB SSD in either case

hdmi (no vga kinda dying but i get it if its for work)

no dvd (again kinda dying for the sake of bigger battery and thinness)

That's not a Y700. That's a simple ThinkPad. You are mixing it up with the IdeaPad series

Oh my bad, yup just checked them.. seems ill be getting a thinkpad, ty for the advice
