Fury X vs 980 ti

Title says it all, primarily for gaming.  Display is up in the air right now, so it is really either one.

It really depends on what else is in the build, but in most cases you'll want a 980TI.

980ti slap bitch the furyX all over the place and has 2 extra GB of video memory, it also support a shit load of cool extra features and has better softwares and drivers...no reason to go with the furyx unless it's like 150$ cheaper or something...

980 ti by far. That said, personally I'll be waiting for the Pascal gpus before buying a new one. I imagine the Pascal gpus are less than 6 months away and the successor to the gtx 980, the 1080, will probably be around the same cost as the 980 ti.

If you really need something right now, then i would go with the 980 ti for the slightly extra vram, since perf wise they are very similar.

 

If you can wait, then I would suggest seeing how Polaris and Pascal pan out, as from the looks of it, both sides are bring out some good stuff...
