I just dropped my computer from a reasonable height (Don't ask). Now its really slow and making strange sounds. I think it's from the hard drive because when I open task manager disk usage is at 100% even when I'm barely doing anything! Anything I can do to confirm that the hdd is the problem? I'm running gtx 960 with i5 4690. Can I fix it?

I would backup the HDD ASAP, likely it's platter might have broken or the arm on the platter broke.

Otherwise it could be any of the fans in your system (case fans, GPU fan, CPU fan, etc.)

Just a wild guess, but it probably is the hard drive. Unless a pcb snapped it's the only thing that'd really be damaged from a drop.

If a PCB snapped, there would be more issues as that PCB can no longer function at all. One more vote for hard drive, back that shit up harder than Niki Minaj.

I'm not saying that's what happened, I'm just saying that's something that could from a drop.

Right, but I would imagine that would cause more problems than a slowed hard drive, strange sounds, and disk usage at 100%.
