stereo audio backwards, need help

so this has been happening for a while now where sound on the right in game is going through the left side of my headset, and vice versa. to start off... 

-no they are not on backwards...

-no i cannot just flip my headphones around cause last time i checked my mouth was on my face and not on my neck so my mic would be useless...

 so how could i fix this issue ?

I think it's somewhere in the windows audio settings

 

Right click the sound icon in the taskbar > playback devices and maybe poke around in there a bit? Not sure though

Does this happen no matter what you use with your computer?

no its fine on my laptop, and it was fine on this pc before but its been on and off. but now it seems like its here to stay :/

Well you could re wire the cable but it would ruin it for other devices. Tried reinstall stuff like drivers all the way to operating system
