Z170 or B150?, both are at the same price on Amazon

RRGT19

Hi,

First i wanted to build a Z170 gaming PC and i was waiting for the new asus B150i Aura board, but now the prices are almost identical.

B150

Z170

as you can see the prices are almost identical, i don't know why if the B170 is supposed to be cheaper.

What do you recommed me guys?, i don't know anything about overcloking.

I have chose Mini ITX because i have a Phanteks Mini ITX case already at home (empty by the way, was the first thing that i bought)

I wouldn't call a $50 gap 'identical'.

Might as well go for the Z170 and 6700K.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Just go Z170. If your budget allows it and it's not much more, then there's no reason to downgrade unless it means sacrificing the quality of other parts.

i was hoping to get a cheap board and a cheap processor i7

the Z170 board uses the Z170 chipset, which is the best/highest featured/most options/highest performance chipset for the current 6th gen Intel CPU's.

sooo... Z170 is the best choice if possible.

Go Z170, if you can do it as that would allow for overclocking

i have the budget right now but i was hoping to buy a cheap board and processor to play games, i won't overclock the cpu because i don't know how to do it and there is not any benefits in games, i guess....

Z170 is for your parts 62 dollars more, that isn't the same price. And if you're not going to overclock you're just throwing away 62 dollars.
