10 dollar cable, and software is usually included with ssd

i am gonna recommend a clean install if you can though

get rid of bloated stuff

It's not really difficult, but doing a clean installl is preferred. Also doing a clean install won't take that much more time than migrating the OS to the SSD (unless you have a lot of programs installed).

Clean install is preferred especially because in most cases, the SSD people buy aren't big enough to store all the data on your existing HDD. Also because cloning software basically makes a complete replica of the data on your HDD to your SDD. So even if the amount of data you have can all fit on the SSD, you'll take up space for files that don't need to be on your SSD like documents and programs not commonly used. If you do a clean install, you have to option to install commonly used programs to your SSD and programs not used as much to your HDD.

Yeah, same as above. I would suggest a clean install, makes it's easier. I actually went from a 1TB HDD to a 250 SSD and just decided the HDD was useless. I have all of my media on a 3TB external and I only ever have 2 or 3 games on there at any given time (I delete them when I'm done or taking a break), so even a 250 was fine for me to hold everything.
