Have to boot windows 8 manually from bios?

cozert

My ssd is first in boot order in the bios but whenever I restart or turn on my computer it doesn't go past the bios. So I have to boot from my ssd in the bios manually. I have an asus maximus vi hero mobo and a samsung 840 evo ssd. Is there a setting that I have to change for it to automatically boot windows?

Edit: this is on a brand new sdd and a fresh install of windows 8

Did you recently install your ssd? If so, did you perform a clean install of windows 8 on your ssd?

You're 100% sure that the SSD is set as #1 in Boot Priority? Would you mind posting a screenshot or picture of your screen?
