Will the GPU get bottlenecked? :(

I'm thinking of building a pc (for the first time). And since it's my first time I don't want to spend a lot on it (in case I mess it up+budget only 430 Euros) and I just want a new game (Like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt) to be playable (atleast on 720p High Settings).

So I'm thinking of a GTX960 MSI Gaming 4G GPU and an AMD FX6300 CPU and I was wondering if the cpu wouldn't bottleneck the gpu. 

(Here is the mobo if needed:  Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+)

960 pairs with a 6300 fairly well @ 1080p IMO.

Hey, that's the excact combination I am going for to! I don't think so because it is a decently fast cpu with enough cores to handle almost any game.

A lot of people here dont actually understand how bottlenecking works...

 

your fps in games with that CPU will be less than if you had a 4690k or other i5/i7

 

but that is technically not a bottleneck because a better GPU will still perform better even though your CPU is reducing its performance

 

both the CPU and GPU contribute to performance, so you will always get worse fps than people with a 960 that have an i5 or i7

 

however, since the 960 isnt that powerful, the difference in fps caused by your weak CPU will not be huge

you will still have playable framerates

 

so if you compare your CPU to an i5 or i7 then yes it is a bottleneck

You should be fine with that and be able to run any game in that class at 720p easily

That 6 core is just fine for gaming and the 960 is fine for 1080p gaming.  For gaming a cpu doesn't really cause bottlenecks unless it is just a really old processor. Most games don't even utilize all cores on multicore processors but games like battlefield series will.

That is a good combo even seen people use the 970 with it but then some games will probably bottle...
