Pcie x1 video card dilemma

BeatleJuice

I am running an old 2008 motherboard and for graphics, i only have one choice which is to use the Provided Pcie x1 slot. (the motherboard has no x8 or x16 slots) here's the best card i could find http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500355&cm_re=ZOTAC_GeForce_GT_730_DirectX_12-_-14-500-355-_-Product would this be the best card availible? (given the pcie x1 parameters)

If you feel confident go for it.

this is the second time ive linked this. I am not responsible if this borks the PC

If I use words like probably or most likely, it is because I dislike certainty. These words can probably be omitted and the sentence read as a certainty.

PCI-e x1 cards are pretty rare, as it's a pretty niche need.

A GT730 will work fine for general use and light gaming, though don't expect to run any recent games beyond medium-low settings.

i5 3570 -- AS.Rock Z77 Pro3 -- 12GB DDR3 -- R9 380X -- 840Evo 500GB/1TB HDD

I speak the honest truth with a bit of snark mixed in. I'm sorry if it doesn't line up with your beliefs.

I doubt a full 16x card will work (at least properly) in a 1x or even 2x slot, the lowest it can go as far as I'm aware is 4x.

It works I've used it on an old PC once.

It's okay, but it won't do well in latest games (of course) at even lowest settings (maybe with 640x480, but who wants to play like that?). If you play Valve games, it will run any of them at med-high settings.
