So the VRM's of my GTX 980 were overheating a little when I tried to push it. So I decided what the fuck, lets just use the H60 I have in the closet somewhere.

Checked the compatibility list on the corsair website; http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-hg10-n980-gpu-liquid-cooling-bracket -> tech specs

MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4G, yup, on the list.

corsairHG10.jpg

Bought the HG10 (used luckily), and ordered some accesoires to make it fit in the case and an extra NF-F12 PWM. Graphics card disassembled.....totally doesn't fit.

So now i have to return the purchased accesoires at my own expense (shipping, twice i might add), buy new thermal pads for vram and VRM's also at my own expense. And now i'm stuck with the HG10 i can't use. Really good job Corsair, nice and responsible with your compatibility list that's disingenuous.

And before people start flying off the handle with "lol, it's not a reference board, what did you expect", it's why I checked the list in the first place. I thought they tested it and it fit. Why else have those lists.

The capacitors were in the way.

Those 4 to the right of the coils/vrm's. Also the holes didn't line up. It's hard to tell from the image, but they're not the same around the GPU.

Plus it's apparently vertically extended, so it didn't fit over all the coils/VRM's

@Majestic - I apologize for the inconvenience, this is totally on us. That card uses a custom PCB, it should have never been included in that list in the first place, that was an oversight during our validation process. I have already asked our webteam to update the product page.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

So how's about a refund/compensation to @Majestic for now sitting with a cooler he's bought on totally wrong sales advice from the site?

I'm not out for blood, but this doesn't help my situation, only people in the future. Nor pay for the expenses, albeit not great expenses (~50 euro, mostly shipping, accesories and thermal pads), i've made because of this.

The cooler I can hopefully flip. Though it's a niche product, will take time.
