What is the best software for an HTPC

Hi Everyone,

I have been tinkering around with the idea of building a HTPC that we could not only use for our own movies and shows recorded but also be able to stream Netflix and Hulu from the same box. What software allows for this experience that is easy to use and only have to use one app for?

Thanks,

ConiferousJelly

probably KODI but I don't know. I just use Windows Media Center because it is able to handle Cablecard receivers in a decently streamlined manner
