Before anyone tries to recommend me to go for a R9 390 instead, please don't because it costs much more in my country so I'll not do it despite how much I'd like to do that. Q_Q

I'm currently in a confused spot, I don't really know which 970 I should buy. I have heard mixed reviews for every listed 970 and now I don't know for which one I should go for.

Only these are the options, other manufacturer costs +30euros at least in my country.

Option #1: Palit GTX 970 JetStream - 305 euros - http://imgur.com/qlrO04X

Option #2: Gigabyte GTX 970 Windforce - 320 euros - http://imgur.com/qH9lkxI

Option #3: Zotac GTX 970 AMP Edition - 325 euros - couldn't find the exact same image which is shown on the internet shop so can't really show it.

So which one should I go for and why? A friend of mine has been using the palit one since september and he has no complaints.

EVGA because I've heard lots of good about them.

There are like no evga products at all in my country, I specificlly listed those three 970's because they don't cost much more than other ones, for example, msi costs 360 euros, like hell I will go for that if I can get a different manufacturer one for 305.

I don't like Asus as a brand but their Strix cooler version of the 970 is very good.

Can you at least link to the store you would buy in since the coolers are very different from Zotac for the 970. Depending on the cooler the Zotac seems best to me from these 3. Please link something :)

In terms of noise of the GPUs that has been talked about yet and the ones you listed:

Here is a ranking from quietest to loudest:

Asus 970 Strix

Palit 970 Jetstream

MSI 970 Twinfrozr /EVGA 970

Gigabyte 970 Windforce

I'd be bothered to much by thy the noise of the Windforce ... the others are at a fine level.

I'd take the Zotac card, no doubt. If it's an AMP Extreme or an AMP Omega it looks to have some pretty monster power delivery. It looks like 11 chokes for the core, 2 for the memory. It looks like a really strong PCB to me for overclocking.

Zotac-GeForce-GTX-980-AMP%21-Omega-Editi

Here is the PCB for the Windforce, which is also excellent on the PCB, though the binned chips usually go into their G1 Gaming 970.

GIGABYTE-GeForce-GTX-970-WindForce-3X-4G

The PCB on the JetStream looks pretty weak in comparison to the other two:

Gainward-GeForce-GTX-970-Phantom-4GB-GDD

There are no guarantees when it comes to overclocking, but I think the one most likely to hit the best clocks is the Zotac AMP Extreme or AMP Omega.

I gotta say I regret going with a 4+2 phase 970 like the JetStream (mine is the EVGA GTX 970 SC). When I bought it I figured a 970 is a 970, but while everyone else on 6+2 phase and better cards is able to run 1500 MHz boost clock, I couldn't get higher than 1418 MHz boost after GPU Boost 2.0 (a lousy +51 MHz on the core). But even with that minimal +51 MHz boost I can tell the difference ingame. If I could do it over I would have spent the extra $10-$20 to get one of the 970s with better power delivery, as the GPU is the most important part of a gaming build and every increase is noticeable.

Which is the best 970 overclocker?

The Strix is a decent 970. The best overclocker on average seems to be the Gigabyte G1 Gaming.

It's the same PCB as the Windforce 3X but has a better binned chip.
