Hi, I am building a PC for my friend and need to make sure everything is good and works well together. I did some research and I think it looks good, but does anyone have anything they would change with this build?

Why not get skylake? It's faster.

The R9 380X is a better buy at this price.

Get a better power supply for overclocking.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

I have run my OC 970 on a CX500 for 9 months. No issues.

 

That video is a load of bs, just images of burnt out motherboards. Im still yet to hear of any actual incidents where the cx's have caught fire or broken parts.

Presuming the budget is around $650 and the system is not intended for high settings gaming, the build looks fine. But I think it could be a bit better going with Skylake and adding an ssd, among other things.

So the build I need is more of a family build that my friend is going to use for school and some gaming. is this a good build for that?
