http://www.irfanview.com/ is simple and good

also you don't need pay ms anything

if your os is corrupt..its not that hard to fix it

so i just took a pic of a crazy game of CSGO, and i decide to show my freinds it. so i go into steam, take out the pic, and decide to open it to make sure its the right one, and i get this little message.

c:\Users\Noah\Desktop\2016-02-05_00004.jpg

An I/O operation initiated by the registry failed unrecoverably. The registry could not rea in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the systems image of the registry.

now i know how to fix some stuff, but im at a loss as to what is going on. this is a new pc, and microsft is demanding i pay $100 to fix it, and i dont have that kind of money right now to be throwing around at microsft, for a 2 year old pc. if you guys do have a fix, please describe step by step how to fix it. thanks alot :D

How is Microsoft demanding 100USD from you.. Do you like not have a registered Windows or is this a virus..? Anyways, have you tried opening it with some other program (like in Photoshop or whatever) ?

when I first got my pc my windows didn't come registered. You might have to do that yourself. Your pc case should have a windows key sticker on which will be your windows key. You can find out on google how to enable it.

That would be why then surely when you installed windows you had a product key with it? If not you will need one

all that might mean is that your default picture program is corrupt

try using a different program

it probably means your os has some corrupt system files

and it might need a clean install
