$1500 Gaming PC (Redux)

Plankydude

About just under a Month ago I posted about a PC I was going to build, then money was no longer an option and it was a no show.  A month later, I am back to where I was financially and I am ready to build me a strong PC.  I am trying to make this PC as strong and reliable as I can within a $1500 limit.  This includes the peripherals.  I am going to be using this PC for very heavy gaming and video editing, and a little bit of audio production.  I would like to keep the color scheme I have for it, which is White/Blue.  Here is what I have, but if you have any suggestions, or even a completely different build, please help me out any way you can:

A few things:

-I see very little reason to get a Z97 and a premium cooler for the Xeon 1231 v3 since you'll getting very little results from BCLK overclocking (which is really the only method of OC'ing on this CPU). Get a H97 and a cheaper air cooler instead (or none at all if you don't mind noise - just use the stock cooler).

-Change out that PSU. Any SeaSonic or XFX 600-650W would do. If you don't mind spending a little more, a EVGA 650W G2 would work great (the EVGA 650W GS is still a good option for a bit cheaper).

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

I'd vote for a larger SSD, and probably not a samsung.  Lots of reputable choices for 240/256GB at around the $100 mark.  It just makes life easier when your C: has more breathing room.  Can make saving games faster when they start piling up in the my documents folder and you're unable to change its path, cause once your OS drive breaches the 50% full mark most SSDs performance starts to go down....So yea...bigger is just better.

While the stock cpu cooler will do a decent job, a Hyper 212 EVO will run quieter and do a better cooling job.

I would also suggest a different motherboard. It can control the case fans, eliminating the need for a fan controller.

A larger ssd and better psu round out my suggestions.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
