Reseat the cooler. 99*C is VERY bad for a CPU

Reseat means reinstall ie take the cooler off, clean the thermal paste off, put new paste on, remount the cooler.

It might be fine for an i7 40790k CPU :P but not for a i7 4790k, so try to reseat the cooler and make sure the pump is working.

Ok I'll do that ASAP, how does one know if the pump is working?

Idle tems of the CPU is at 54 (With many running tabs from browsers and programs like 3DS max and PS idled)

It is a bit hard to do on most AIOs. Try turning off the PC and then put the backside of your index finger on the pump, which is in the CPU block, and then turn on the PC and check for any vibration or you can disconnect the PSU from the MOBO and other components, take the cooler off, connect it back to the PSU, put the CPU block to your ear and then turn on the PSU and listen for any pump noise, if you hear nothing the pump is probably broken because those pumps are a bit noisy.

Already tried re-applying thermal compund, and I tightened the screws a bit more. Nothing has changed still 93-100 temps when rendering in 3DSMAX :S

Anyone here who can help?

Tried the stock cooler. Though prime 95 and 3DSMAX were tested, it still went to the 93-100 marks. The Stock Fan Cooler though reached the high temps much slower than the H60 did.

So anyone knows what the problem is or if not at least any tips that would help?

P,S: Any mod please move this to either Cooling thread or CPU Thread.

P.S.S: If anyone wanted to know Specs are as follows: i7 4790k, Maximus VII Hero, Corsaid Vengence Pro 2133, EVGA 980 Ti SC, Corsair RM850, Corsair H60 (Not sure if really not working now. May be a different problem as it stands)
