Would like to keep it around the $650 price range.  System is a Red and Black theme.  Just trying to get the best bang for my buck as people say.

For all around performance, you can't beat the Hybrid. Mine boosts to 1366mhz on its own and stays under 50c when gaming at that speed.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

So I have recommendations for both the classified and the Hybrid.  Any reasons why one is better than the other?

i would go with the classified...that thing is soooo overbuilt...14+3 powerphase with black diamond chokes and a dual bios switch...this is amazing!

The hybrid will have better temps but it's nowhere near as good of a design and it sport a cheap all in one cooler with a pump which long term reliability if a factor is IMHO a no go...

The classified is for those looking to overclock past where the average person has the knowledge to overclock. If you're just going to move some sliders you won't get your monies worth. The Hybrid is for plug and play performance, both in clock speed and temperature control. set it and forget it.

I came from AMD were monitoring your temps was very important. The Hybrid never crossed 50c. It's heaven xD

If anyone asks you never saw me.

it has a good price reduction right now it cost the same as the other cheaper cards...and this one will last FOREVER...you'll never be able to go through this card...it's way way way overdesigned.

at 639$ it's a steal this card is worth 700$+ ...and it will boost to 1400mhz on it's own out of the box according to Guru3d's review.

no offense bro, but the hybrid card is nothing more than a reference card with a cheap ass AIO slap onto it...the classified is a much better board ;)

it's meant to be included into a custom loop and overvolted to death i get your point but even with the air cooler good things will happen with this card.

Watch Jayz review of the Hybrid, mine beats his by 500mhz. You know that boost speed is all about luck, dat silicon lottery.

Not saying the Classified isn't cool, but once you go AIO. Well, you're just very happy with it.

It will perform better, quieter and cooler than a strix.   Mine did 1520-1530 on the core and 8800 on the memory in benchmarks on air,  and 1500/8400 24/7 stable.

So by what I am getting and understanding the Classified is currently super cheap as compared to normal and to grab that card asap before it goes back up.  Is this correct?

yes, it absolutely is correct.

it looks super good in a system too...it has a nice attractive backplate and white leds on the side...and a dual bios switch so you can load custom bios safely and experiment with it and overclock it to death if you wish to...it's a true overbuilt over engineered card for enthusiasts:
