Is this power supply:

enough for this build?

 

Intel Core i5-4570

Radeon 7950

8GB RAM

1TB HDD

4 fans

 

I'm pretty sure it's enough, just want other people's opinions (:

Well since you won't be overclocking maybe 50W at load not that close when I think about it

Same PSU I'm using and have no problems whatsoever and been folding for the last couple of months with my GPU being used at 98% for 8+ hours and still no problems. But I would have wished when I bought this one I would have gone with the 650w for a bit of head room for future upgrades.

Not planning for a CF in the future.

Honestly I would just save up the extra 30 bucks for the 650w version. This is a very solid PSU.

Budget is already maxed out, I cant save any more haha :P

Prices tend to fluctuate a little, I picked one up for 80 AUD a month back though :) nice little unit and is fully modular

How are you getting those numbers? Assume that the 7950 is oc'd at max PLL he's at 250w+100w[84] and +50w for MB/HDD/fans.

It's a solid mid-range unit if you are looking for a cheap fully modular unit. The Seasonic G and the Super Flower Golden Green unit would be a better build / performing PSU than it; but I guess you can say that the OCZ ZT is a better value for you.

 

Seriously, though. On a non-OC Haswell i5 with a 7950 setup, you would only hit around 300w load if you were to run Furmark and Prime95 at the same time. Yeah I've used a couple and they aren't too bad, Some can have issues with fans ramping up way to much for no reason and creating a ton of noise. OCZ failure rates aren't to great either tbh.

A 5 year warranty is not bad though haha :P What do you recommend at this price point then?

Cpu at stock puts out 84w. The max the gpu can push out oc, ed is 225w. Thats 309 add in 50 or so for everythi g else and you're not even at 400 your fine.
