Depends on the resolution you're playing at. 4GB is preferable, but 2GB is pushing it. 3GB or more is best for "futureproofing".

2GB is fine for medium textures 1080p

3+GB is fine for [almost always] max 1080p

4+GB is overkill but will be necessary in the future.

TBH 2gb is fine for 1080p.

When I had 2 760s I never had to turn down textures because of issues relate to the vram filling up. It got close to filling up many times, and was pretty much on the limit in my modded game of skyrim, but it isnt essential like many people make it seem.

For the games you talked about, 2gb should be fine (depends on the res), but games like the shadow of mordor, and gta 5 can eat through vram...

People saying 2GB is fine, they obviously never looked at their usages.

MOST games at 1080p, max graphics will use 3GB's of VRAM. I've checked this myself.
TERA at max graphics at 4K uses 3GB of VRAM. So keep that in mind, it really just depends on the game you're playing.

Hi.

I was wondering about how much VRAM i need for playing on one monitor in games like cs:go, rainbow six and battlefield 4. is 2 GB enough or do i need 4 GB

Games like CS:GO require very little. 2GB would be plenty. But if you want to continue to play AAA FPS games (like BF4 and R6 Siege) going forward you're going to want 4GB.

If you're implying I said 2GB is fine for max... look at what I said again. I said 2GB is fine for medium 1080p. 3+ is usually fine fox maxxing.

I'm agreeing with what you said. I'm implying everyone else saying 2GB is perfectly fine. Which it isn't.

3 and 4GB is great for 1080p. Was simply quoting for OP. My apologize for the confusion.
