Does anyone know of a h97 motherboard that has two pcie gen 3 16x slots side by side (like what you would need for crossfire) that would only use 4 slots on a case... I need it in micro atx for factor.....

thanks!

you dont need PCIe x16 slots for GPUs

8x 2.0 or 16x 2.0 or 8x 3.0 is more than enough

very true but I was saying that more so just to generalize what I was looking for

by that I meant a PCIe slot that would have the bandwidth for a gpu

and the mobo I found is the asus gryphon but it's stupid expensive

What... He was saying any Mobo with a two PCIe slots at almost any speed will work just fine

Like this mobo

They aren't both 16x slots but it wont bottleneck any GPU

I know what he said... I could find three dozen motherboards that would support crossfire like that, what I am looking for is a board that will support crossfire with the cards right next to each-other so only 4 consecutive slots are taken up on my case like The Gryphon

I think people are confused by what you're asking due to the form factor limitations. You could only ever have a maximum of 4 x16 PCIe lanes on the board, there simply isn't room enough for any more, and disregarding the amount of necessary lane assignments no mATX board is likely to ever have 4 x16 lanes. The best you can hope for is 2-3 x16 lanes spaced at a double height with x1 or x4 lanes in between/below them (the Gryphon and GA-Z97MX are exceptions to this).

If you search for a board with SLI support you're fairly likely to find exactly what you're looking for, but they were rare on release and even more rare to have in stock now.
