I've got a custom loop for about half a year and I'm still a bit confused because of the temps. You can see my specs in the signature. Besides that I'm using an Alphacool Nexxxos XP3 light CPU-block, a Nexxxos GPX GPU-block and a Nexxxos XT45 360mm rad. The thing is that I get really high temps (I think). Both my CPU and my GPU settle at around 70°C. And that's while gaming! That can't be normal, right? I'd appreciate any help.

considering you only have one 360mm rad its not unheard of that your temps would be high

First, is the liquid going through the waterblocks in the correct direction? They usually are only made for one direction. Second, is any shmoo clogging the blocks?

Maybe a bad seat? Try reseating the blocks.

Well, you only got one 360mm radiator and a 4670k isn't exactly known for its great TIM.
And afaik the HD7950 isn't very efficient either.

Especially when overclocked those temperatures can increase quickly.

But then again I don't know that much about watercooling, so maybe someone else can give you more information.

The fans are set to automatically ramp up, but they run at 60% max (unless the CPU reaches 80%, where they would ramp up to 100%)

The fluid is flowing in the right direction and I can't see anything floating around in my reservoir, I don't know about the blocks though

I have a 3930k and r9 390x and yes, I do have a 360 and 240mm radiator, but my PC is silent during games and is at like 50 degrees. And its FANLESS when light web browsing.

I would look inside the CPU or GPU block. Mine had crap stuck in them, after cleaning my temps went down.

I had to reseat it multiple times because my mobo died and I RMA'ed it, but nothing changed

I don't really want to tear apart my PC (again) but maybe that's my only choice...

Try rebleeding air out of the radiator by tilting the case with the pump running.  And do your GPU temps spike to something like 45°c and then slowly climb to 70°c?

Have you made sure you got enough air flow throgh your radiator and its not caught in a pocket of hot air?? But I've had similar issues to this in the past and it turned out my rad was just bullocks.  If I was on my comp I would link you to the threads I've made on here so you could see if any of the responses in them could help.

The airflow should be fine, I have 3 Noctua NF-P14 FLX  on my rad (I know 140mm fans on a tripple 120mm rad) as an exhaust and 4/5 (depends on how you count) as intakes.

Right. Well I suggest you have a look through these, a good few suggestions are made and there might be some tiny tid bit of information that could help your case.

First what are the Water temps.  that will determine if your blocks are working correctly, and is the liquid is flowing correctly.

I don't have a thermometer to check the temps (right now), but I'd say the top part of my case (where the rad is) gets to about 35-40° hot/warm.

You can generally tell your water temps by your temps of whatever it is cooling. Right when you turn the pc on it will be very close to ambient, right when you begin stress testing it will hit the max at that water temp. If it slowly climbs up as you stress it that is your water temp rising and the warmer water removing less heat. Or in my case my gpu idles very close to water temps, so if I stress my cpu and do nothing with the gpu, then however much my gpu temp climbs is the amount of change of my water temps

So I disassembled my loop today and discovered that it actually was really dirty and I remembered that I forgot to flush my rad when I build my loop the first time.

The CPU block was really gunked up (it was directly behind the radiator). I filtered the fluid multiple times with coffee filters but it still has a green shade.

Spoiler

And my temps are back to normal again (high 20's idle, passive):
