Cheapest GPU for 4K display

First I'm not looking for a cheap 4K gpu. From the most recent Wan show, around 44 minutes in (44:40), Linus read a comment on Twitch chat, where someone mentioned "GTX 750s are ideal for watching Blu-Rays". This has got me wondering too, so I did some digging and found out, that person might be right. Why? Because from Nvidia's side, the bottom tier gpus, GT710-GT740 runs 4K only at 30Hz or at a lower 24Hz. Only DP can do 4K at 60Hz, but most of these cheap cards, don't carry display port. So the cheapest and ideal card is the GTX 750 because it has display port and for that, it can run 4K and 60Hz.

On AMD's site, the cheapest card to run 4K is the HD7700 series, Where 4K at 60Hz on Display Port, and 30Hz on HDMI.

Is 4K at 30Hz or 24Hz good enough for every day use and and watching Blu-Ray movies?

Some detail info: GT710, GT710, GT730 and GT740, 3840x2160 @ 30Hz, 4096x2160 @24Hz over HDMI. 3840x2160 @ 60Hz over Display Port for GT740, that is only if the GT740 comes with a display port connector

GTX750: 3850x2160 @30Hz or 4096x2160 @ 24Hz over HDMI, 4096x2160 @ 60Hz over Display Port

AMD's HD7730, 7750, 7770, 7790, 4096x2160 @ 60Hz over Display Port, 4096x2160 @ 30Hz over HDMI

750Ti can handle 4k

integrated graphics can handle 4k

you just cant run anything on it

OFF TOPIC: I suggest every poll from now on to have "**CK EA" option instead of "Other"

Aren't all Blu-Ray movies captured in 24, 26 or 30 FPS anyway?
I don't even know why you would want a GPU to playback 4K video. Even the integrated GPU of any modern CPU can do that and a lot of motherboards come with HDMI 1.4 or higher.

And then if you only want to watch Blu-Rays, get a Blu-Ray player? They cost like $60-70.

For moviewatching ONLY 24/30hz might be fine but for everyday usage NO WAY.

Nowadays you could probably get away with intel integrated graphics for 4k60 though.

Basic use in general, GTX 750Ti of course can run at 4K, as well as iGPU, but how much will the slower refersh rate affect user experience.

295x2.

499£

To "handle" 4K is like to buy a Ferrari but not being able to afford the fuel and insurance.

Why drive it around the garage then?

If you just want to "have" the screen size, then I believe anything is fine.

Yeah, they're mostly capture at 30fps. And you're not reading it carefully. I'm talking about the refresh rate of a monitor. iGPU can do 4K over HDMI, but only at 30Hz or 24Hz. This is much lower than the standard 60Hz that everyone is using not just for 4K, but for any resolutions out there even at 1024x768. Want 60Hz on HDMI, then it has to be HDMI 2.0. Right now only Display Port can carry 4K at 60Hz.
