So I was thinking whilst playing a little Arma 3 on my FX-6300 If it would be possible to disable 2 of my 6 cores to higher overclock the rest of my 4 cores. Right now its clocked @ 4.1 Ghz but If I could get more power out of the "used" cores I might get better frames, right? I use as I said a AMD FX-6300 (@4.1 Ghz) and a AMD Radeon HD 7850. Im playing at 25-30 FPS at highest settings (Multiplayer) and 30-35 FPS on lowest (render distance was configured at 1000 M).

Thanks in advance for your time.

Cool it so you can Clock it (further), deal with it until you can upgrade to a CPU with better performance.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Arma 3 IS the hardest game to run in my whole steam library...eats up my 3570k like no tomorrow...I sometimes even see my 290x only at 50% load cause it's such a CPU intensive game and bitchy game to run :D

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
