Mentions all weird?

so i remember in the old version, we could just type the person's @ and it would tag it after it posted, but now why do we have to click the right person's @ in order to tag them? i find it annoying.

 

 

 

ps. not totally related at all, but what happened to quick edit?

@terrytek  Did that work?  It gave me a drop down menu of users.

it did, but you have to click the name. before i could just type it and it would automatically tag the person.

It seems that just @ doesn't work. Using the full tagging system seems to, though I don't know if you actually get notifications from it.

Its somewhat useful for tagging people who have spaces in their name.

I always found it to be very temperamental; sometimes working sometimes not.

Was probably my fault then..

oh well.

By doing it like that, it means that 4.5GHz won't be tagged repeatedly. It could be a bit smoother, but IMO it's an improvement.

It's not a bug anyway, so I'm moving it to General Discussion.

Well this was between people requesting tagging system that would suggest people from that thread. Against people who like the old system. I personally like new system better. When it works. Todays I haven't had much luck tagging @colonel_mortis. Its working now but pretty much 50/50 when its working and not. Quite annoying since there isn't manual way.
