computer case/desk in one

i was just curious if there was any commercials solutions to having the computer buildt into the desk, so you literally build the computer in your desk. I have seen some in the past but those are custom buildt by the creater themselves, i was wondering if you can actually buy a solution like this as i don't have time to make something like that myself.

 

I do realise the implications of this and the many issues of have something like this prebuildt rather than custom made i very much doubt you can buy it anywhere, im just curious. I imagine a desk would have amazing sound isolation be very space efficient and it's easy to look at the beautiful internals, overall i just love the idea but i simply can't do it myself though i truly wish i could.

There was a news item a while back about a company making custom desk cases, and they had a few products. It's still a pretty niche market though, and the only real way to get one is to design and build it yourself.

I do not think there is anything like that, but I am sure you could buy a wooden table and retrofit it with drawers so that it does the same thing. Doing it yourself may be easier than looking for somewhere to buy one.

that is pretty cool but WAY to agressive and insane compared to what im looking for but i guess this is the kind of products that are actually going to be for sale in this category, which kinda sucks as there is no god dammn chance in hell that i will ever have the chance to build something like this myself, i strive to get the ideal setup and a desk solution like that is really something i need, ty for the link though.

You can always try and find someone to do it for You. But its risky, there are alot of wanna-be modders that will take your money and never hear back from you. Has to be someone local that you are able to see when you want. But of course they would charge a bit for that.

That's underestimating it a bit don't ya think? But by all means, if you can build one for $200 go ahead.

its only cut sheet metal with steel supports, not expensive at all, if it was carbon fiber i could understand

so i guess in the end i would have to make it myself, which is preferable because i would get exactly what i want. But i can't .. i don't have the time, so my other option would be to find someone or somwhere that could custom make it for me and pay the hefty price, don't think there is such a place but i guess that's what my option is.

Well if there was a list of materials from the ones that have already made it along with the measurements for each part, i would gladly buy the materials and build it myself, but I don't trust myself with measurements, nor do I have the tools for the job.
