Reasons to buy the acer x34 - why the money?

Jonathan=PC

Hello Guys

I wanted to buy the pg279q
but my parents thought 900 dollars(850 euro) was why too much to spend on a 27 inch display

So i thought about a different monitor and i knew this one, acer predator x34

it's 1423 dollar (1300 euro)

And it's widescreen and its 34 inch
So this screen would make sense from a vid maker/college stuff/gaming person
but the price point is a bit :/

So i needed you guys to come up with reasons why to buy this monitor
or even better..

Get a monitor thats a lot cheaper and still has great capabilities.

Ps: I play these kinds of games:

League of Legends
Black ops III
Gta V
Planetside 2
Cs go
Fallout 4

Thanks for reading!

You can easily get a 27 inch 1080p 144hz for like $400 or even for like $300 you can get a 144hz 24 inch 1080p monitor but else I would suggest get a 144hz 1440p monitor over that 165hz one as IMO, I think they are Overpriced for what they are.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

It's a lot bigger and it's widescreen so it's better than the pg279q

Most parents aren't really familiar with hz.

And so i need a simple explanation to buy this monitor...

I need 1440p because i have been gaming with 1080p for 3 years now and want to change.

I wanted to buy a 144hz 1440p monitor but they are all above the 700 range, and if i tell some random numbers to my parents they will not understand.

I have this monitor. It's amazing, OC to 100hz, an driven with two 970s in SLI.... Which would reach 100FPS on most of the games you've listed. I paid $1999 NZD for it, and wouldn't hesitate to get it again.

I play a bit of LoL, and the screen real estate makes keeping track of your surroundings a breeze and possibly gives you a small advantage tracking people across the map. The rest of the games, the extra space on the sides is a really nice addition and gives you a little bit of peripheral vision and adds to the immersive experience of gaming.

These kids these days...but in seriousness, if it's your own money that you earned yourself and maybe some present money then it's fine and go for it in my opinion but not when you're parents are paying more than a third of it...

I know how good ultrawides (have had experience with my cousins 34" ultrawide 1440p but he is 28 working towards a PHD) but due to myself only being 15 years old (almost 16), I cannot simply afford to splash out so much and replace my 2 perfectly good monitors (ah the feeling I had 2 years ago when I got my benq XL2410T for £100 new cause it was so old and that PC store couldn't sell it...)

I am sorry?

I always pay everything myself.

I don't take money.

And i am going out of the house in a year so please, don't say these kids...

I am not a 13-14 year old little kid that gets spoiled and gets money to buy stuff..

I am living at my parents house and they didnt feel good if i buy something that is a waste of money, considering these monitors cost as much as a car!

Just a side note: I am 17 and earn 1000+ a month because of youtube and a paper round, that's how i have enough to pay these things ;) .

Fair enough that you are paying it fully yourself :D

Give me a sec, I will try to maybe find a 144hz 1440p monitor under 700...but probably won't be able to as this also requires me to search on EU websites :P

I'm not telling you to buy from them but if you are from the Netherlands then I don't understand how you can't find a 1440p 144hz monitor :P
