When does the SAS start working in Kerbal Space Program?

I'm talking about when you can click on prograde or any of those beside the Navbal? I, ve tested and tested and can't figure out when it starts working, I adjusted the starting funds and starting science to maximum and used them to upgrade and unlock and nothing, Does it start working after you reach a certain height or make an orbit or a certain amount of flights? Does it only work after installing a certain module on the rocket? I tried the Small Inline Reaction Wheel and the Advanced Inline Stabilizer and nothing. I also unlocked everything in the 1st 5 rows.

when I pilot reaches EX levle 1 or only some probes have them. it is in the part description.

Depends - I am assuming you know how to play the game, so after pressing T, But I think you want to know about the icons on the left

Career - Slowly unlocked as pilots gain experience (Might also be another way)

Sandbox - Unlocked immediately
