idk how the cpu will do in skylines, ive heard a lot of bad things about AMD fx, it should run fine on the other games though

I dont see why you would buy win 7 ultimate

Not sure if Hitachi Ultrastar makes good harddrives, i would stick to something more traditional

i rate it: 8.47/10

5/7 Could do with a better CPU for skylines maybe. I'm not too sure though, I'm pretty sure that luke did testing on that.

Are u planning on OC that fx-4300? Otherwise go with a higher cpu, since that one will bottleneck the gpu. A fx-8320 will do just fine i guess.

Cities-Skylines does very well with amd cpus since it uses all the multithreating performance. Get a 6 or 8-core for that game.

You're going to have a major bottleneck with a $80 CPU and a 390. Also, are you seriously paying for an AV? there are free ones that beat AVG, I personaly use the built in windows one, and for a windows product key, they can be brought off of key resellers for really cheap

Try this:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($226.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 PRO3 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($80.98 @ Newegg)
Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 380X 4GB DD XXX OC Video Card  ($213.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master N300 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($39.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($34.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHDS118-04 DVD/CD Drive  ($12.89 @ OutletPC)
Monitor: Asus VS247H-P 23.6" Monitor  ($109.99 @ NCIX US)
Monitor: Asus VS247H-P 23.6" Monitor  ($109.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $943.55

There are resons to pay for a AV, for example if you download a lot of torrents, or have valuable information on your PC, or if you dont know what you are doing

Here is a complete comparison if you are interested

Besides AV is cheap as dirt these days, the one he bought is a rip off though

No OS though. Although pcpartpicker didn't factor the price into the build

how did they do in older tests?

in 2011 dec (the last time they were tested in this test) they did 99.4% and shared first place with bitdefender

I have no idea why they were removed
