Cheapest Quad-Core CPU?

I'm looking for the absolute cheapest possible quad-core processor for LGA1150 that's faster than 2.8GHz. Any suggestions? I tried looking on Newegg, but the cheapest one was around $260

 

EDIT: I live in Canada, so are there any quad-cores that are cheaper than $260 CAD? (~$184 USD?) Like, at most $150

Hyperthreading 2 core is NOT the same as 4 cores, the OS may say it is, but quad core is always faster.

Logical cores are not as strong as physical ones. Task manager shows both logical and physical cores, which is why it shows as four cores.

Yeah i never said it was.

However, both have four threads and only in very CPU intensive tasks will you notice a difference.

I would say that Hyperthreading makes the CPU roughly 25% faster, double the cores 100% (In the case that all the threads are being correctly used)

Technically, yes, however each core benches even or better than an i5 core, so....

When using the 8 threads it will roughly have a performance of a "theoretical i5"  of the same architecture and clock with 5 cores.

PS: Thats really not cientific and do not apply to every case, but  roughly.

Depends what application you're talking about. Theoretically, adding a core should double the performance of a single core. Hyperthreading does not do that, it just assists the existing core.
