just like to look at their gpu in the machine. I mean I do it often (especially since I have a side window) it's a little weird but I just like to look at it and marvel at how glorious it is. Anyone else?

90% of the time I don't use a side panel since I like looking at my hardware :)

I'm on a laptop, so I don't get the satisfaction of actually being able to see all my computer hardware in action, but my K95 RGB, G502 (non RGB), and Razer Firefly make up for it with all them LEDs. The light purple color I'm using right now actually looks really slick.

Almost looks like my 750 ti, but the heatsink cover nearest to the bracket is a tad longer.

Mine is a 560 Ti, New GPU Is meant to arrive on monday, along with my i5, which is getting sold :D

I like staring at my Hyper 212, complimented by an NF-F12. My 7970 is beautiful, with an Antec fan jerry rigged where a non-functional fan was. On the shroud. I cut the old fan out. 

I used to be quite active here.

When I was younger I did. Now I prefer an understated look. no more windows no nothing fancy looking. I am very satisfied in knowing what is under the hood. I am more the utilitarian type as I get older I guess.

I have a solid side panel, but since I very recently bought a new mousepad (ozone, 450mm x 900mm), I kind of do the same with my desk. I put everything away so now there are only the keyboard, mouse and a giant red and black piece of rubber/foam.
