I need Help convincing my non techy friends why I don't use Facebook

So,

 

I have some non techy friends. They really use Facebook a lot, they use twitter rarely and use instagram a lot and snapchat a whole ton.

 

Some of my non techy friends are bugging and bothering me about me not having Facebook and not having snapchat (that's a another story for another day but TL:DR - No Snapchat app for Windows Phone )

 

 

What can i do to get them to stop bothering me about it?

 

I honestly hate facebook. The UI looks old, antiquated and disgusting. The privacy was a deal breaker.

Why would i use faebook to communicate with people? I already have Twitter, instagram, Google +, Skype, (and Steam , Origin and Uplay for my friends who are gamers )

 

 

So TL:DR - I need them to stop bothering me about not having facebook. How do i do that?

 

 

For the people who use and have facebook - Why do you use it?

I like to use facebook as it has everything I need in one, but mostly chat. I dont want to have twitter for posts, instagram for photos and so on. 

There are pretty good privacy options.

Facebook own anything that you post/upload to their site. Pictures, messages, videos. Everything.

honestly the only reason i use facebook is so i can get the benefits associated with "liking" one company or another's facebook...last time i checked it I was almost blown out of my chair with the amount of junk i have there...

Make a facebook acc with fake stuff, add them, ignore the account.

 

Or generate a random password, throw it away, tell them you lost your password, and can't recover it because you used 10minutemail to sign up.

 more than 80% of the people I have ever emailed stopped using email unless absolutely necessary.

 

I like Social media and what not to a certain extent. but seriously! just use Whatsapp! I have all my friends (well except for 3) on Whatsapp.

If thats the kind of people you hang out will then i won't get in your way just "advise" you that your friends sound like people I wouldn't generally hang out with, try to find people who actually understand you. (*note*they may live on the other side of the internet just an FYI)

If you use Facebook via a web browser it saves a cookie that is later used to track which websites you go to. You cant even remove it by deleting the cookies in your browser

Everytime people would bring it up. I'd stopped responding and eventually they got the point.

I have not understood the reason why people use snapchat yet. Facebook can be cool to look at a few posts but it's a trash plattform and waste of time if you look at it.
