I'm looking at new parts and I want a case that is perfect for me so I'm be very picky.

I'm looking for everyone's help in selecting the right one.

It needs to have;

  • A window,
  • Compatibility for an AIO single 120mm,
  • Support for up-to an ATX board,
  • Good cable management options,
  • Quiet fans (not super silent but enough that it isn't the loudest thing in the case)

I'm not too bothered in regards to optical drives etc. I'm mainly looking for something that is practical but very aesthetically pleasing.

I'd rather not spend more than £80 on it too

The NZXT Source 340 is pretty good. It has loads of space for cable management, a massive window, AIO compatibility up to 280mm. It has no 5.25" bays though.

H440

thought the cable management is a bit tight behind the mobo because of the sound dampaning material but still more than enough

tons of water cooling options and is silent

is a bit above your price though. (just checked)

Arc MiDi R2.

I have the Arc MiNi R2 (mATX version) and it is an awesomely designed compact case. And it looks awesome.

Have a look at this list. I don't know what your aesthetic tastes are so I'm not going to recommend you a specific case.

R4 is always a safe bet. Price has lowered with the R5 release.

Not a big fan of the Fractal Design style personally

The NZXT Source 340 is pretty good. It has loads of space for cable management, a massive window, AIO compatibility up to 280mm. It has no 5.25" bays though.

I feel like the exterior is a little bit too glossy, I'd prefer more of a matte finish.

H440

thought the cable management is a bit tight behind the mobo because of the sound dampaning material but still more than enough

tons of water cooling options and is silent

That was my original idea, wasn't sure which way to go with it though. Does the standard blue/black version come with sound dampening or is there a special version of it?

Define S is great at that price point

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

Again, not sure on the Fractal Design style

I thought the same way until I got it. I completely changed my mind. Except for the tinted side window. But it has space for as much cooling as you could possibly need, the fans are filtered, and the fans have a 3 speed switch.

Maybe then, forgot to mention I was also looking for something black/blue but suppose just black is an option!

You can always remove parts and paint them with plasti-dip, such as the front mesh or whatever.

All the h440s come with the sound dampaning material the only difference is color and if you get the v2 version of the h440 you get a pwm fan controller and slightly better airflow because they removed the fin dividers on the mesh where air comes in

Is this the v2 version? I can't find any to say

To be honest im not entirely sure... it has the v2 fans but idk if its the actual v2 with the pwm fan controller. i dont even see it mentioning a fan controller at all

Their product description

Remarkably Clean

An integrated power supply shroud completely conceals cables and increases cable management space up to 80%

The H440 comes standard with 4 of NZXT's newly designed FN V2 case fans. An unheard of 3x 120mm in front and 1x 140mm in rear

Newly designed steel HDD drive trays complement the H440's front and top steel panels

Liquid cooling support: 240mm 280mm or 360mm (front and top) The only case this small that can support 2x 360mm out of box

Tsubasa (The 7680x1440 beast): CPU: Intel i7 8086k | Cooler: Fully Custom Rigid Loop MOBO: Asus Z370-I ITX | GPU: Nvidia Titan Xp Star Wars | RAM: 32Gb 2x16gb Gskill Trident Z RGB | SSD: Samsung 1TB 970 Evo Nvme, 2TB Micron Sata SSD | Case: Fractal Design Nano S | PSU: Corsair SF600 With Full custom cables
