Hi. I am not sure where to have posted this, as it is a couple of topics.

I have a Corsair Air 240 case. I have it custom painted. I want the USB slots towards the top of the case, and the window on the bottom of the case. Therefore, I am considering on having the case on its side with the motherboard facing the ground. Doing so, would mean that the video card will be hanging securely in the slot. My PC will be air cooled only.

So, my question is: Will this be OK to do and will this cause a heat issue?

Thanks.

It would mean that your motherboard IO would be on the ground which I dont think will work

this. Also why get a case with a window if you cant see in it?

The window will be touching the floor/table. There are no vents there so airflow's fine.

On cooling wise it will be fine. If I understood you correctly, window will be as bottom so you are just turning whole thing upside down. That has no affect on fans/airflow.

As for GPU, that won't be secure. Or rather strain to PCIe slow will be immense. You will need to get some custom bracket to hold GPU in place. Or get PCIe extender and place it to other spot.

Wouldnt that be bad for the cables coming from the io. Plus its not great for air flow, if need be get usb extension cables

Its box like case. Turn it upside down, its still box like case. GPU and other PCIe cards are only ones that are problem. Inside power cables and SATA use clips to hold them in place. Front I/O cables are tight as is. Rear I/O cables aren't that different than what they would if case was right side up.
