Best CPU for Gaming / Productivity for under £500

The i7 5820K and i7 5930K are both 6 cores/ 12 threads CPU's however the 5930K has a slightly higher base clock and more PCI-e lanes but both will be excellent for productivity and gaming but rather save the extra pennies and go with the 5820K.

The i7 6700K and i7 5820K are very similarly priced and the 6 cores will make a substantial difference in productivity.

I personally love more cores so 5820K? 5930k if you have much money...

Since you're looking for a CPU that's good for gaming and productivity I suggest the i7 5930K from Intel.

It has a sower performance per core than the i7 6700K but if you overclock it, it will be a beast for gaming even at 4GHz I think.

Maybe games will benefit from it's 12 threads before this CPU is outdated =)
