Right now my windows 10 update is slower than a fracking turtle! Either my isp fudged up or something!

BTW what is the size of a Windows 10 update? #Justcurious

Please let me know the update size!

not sure about this but windows 10 restarts take alot longer for me even with my SSD

It is you ISP....95% sure and it is happening all over the world for those who don't have fiber coming to their homes.

How big is the update, if it is under 2 gigs it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to download on most non fiber plans

I don't know the size of the update!

Would you happen to know.... Or how to check it?

Idk that's why I asked, I mean I can make a speculative guess based on you internet speed and just how long it's been downloading, but I doubt it will be very accurate it is a guess after all.

On the 9th of January 2016 my .iso file size is just over 6GB.

Well that is definitely substantial.

That is if the speeds are steady, right now ISPs are minimizing speeds to do upgrades in the under ocean lines. In my country, yes i know i live in a third world country, at present like 4 ISP providers have gotten license to change their configurations or run entirely new fiber lines all the way from Venezuela to inland Los Angeles and they have "truncated" the connections to facilitate the work that is going on.

EDIT:

My sister just came back from Genevia for some quality conference and she said they are doing the same upgrades and it seems the country doesn't know.

Run a speed test and see what your ISP is giving you. Then open up resource monitor (open task manager, go to 'Performance' tab, click 'Resource Monitor'). Click on 'Network' tab and it should list the applications using bandwidth. See what Windows Update is running at.

Rekt son. Does it say what update it's currently downloading? What version of Windows are you on? When was the last time you updated? I know Windows Update would hang for me sometimes with Windows 8. Rebooting and rechecking updates seemed to fix it. But it could just be Windows Update doing whatever it does and taking its sweet ass time.
