Help me evade SATA II

Go to solution Solved by Octavialicious,

Yup. Go for it, exactly what I was going to suggest.

Probably

Found some cheap ones on amazon, and I'm buying a single 500GB ADATA SSD and I should get reads of 500+ MB/s

Also found a $20 card with USB 3.1 and USB type C, thanks for all the help guys! :D

Hey all, I deeply like 1366 but I want some of the newer features. I have 2x 240GB SSD's in RAID, but I am getting heavily bottlenecked by SATA II. Right now I'm trying to figure out a way to get fast storage without being limited by SATA II (so most likely something with PCIe cards etc)

My budget is somewhere around $90 if you decide to keep the SSD's, and the budget would be $180ish if you find something else (so I will sell my current ssds)

I'm up for anything really, mSATA drives, PCIe drives, as long as it gets 500+ read. Thanks :D

edit: I need at least 500GB

I hate to say it, but I don't think it's technically possible unless you're willing to get buttfucked in the ass by half decent PCIe SSD prices.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!
