Ok so I've been having a little trouble deciding whether or not to up grade my gaming gpu on my gaming pc. The thing is I currently have a 2gb Msi Radeon r9 270x oc gaming edition gpu but I currently able to

Upgrade to the 4gb asus adeon r9 380 oc strix for mear $20 US dollars. So my real question is would it be better to wait and get a Msi 8gb r9 390

For a additional $130 is dollars or just get the r9 380.

R9 270x is not THAT much different to the R9 380, of course the R9 380 is a lot more powerfull, but you will notice a lot more difference if you wait for R9 390.

This

380 is roughly 40% more powerful

390 is 150%

Why are asus' amd cards bad?

Poor components (VRMs

Poor cooling (coolers copy-pasted from Nvidia cards)

Poor customer support (they have none essentially)

coil whine, lot's and lots of coil whine

@cj2tech91 Get a R9 390 or GTX 970 if your budget allows it. Otherwise, the R9 380X fits nice between the 380 and 390.

Poor components (VRMs
Poor cooling (coolers copy-pasted from Nvidia cards)
Poor customer support (they have none essentially)
coil whine, lot's and lots of coil whine

But muh ASUS 280X has pretty chilly VRMs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

From salty to bath salty in 2.9 seconds

Ok I think I'm gonna get the Msi r9 390 even though it is a 100 more then I could spend. The only reason I was looking to only spend 20 cuz I was gonna get the 4790k for a 100 along with the 20 dollar gpu and a new case but I guess the cpu can wait.
