Go to solution Solved by LokiFire,

Adobe Premier  ^_^ its when the encode/export thing starts that it goes weird and crash, not the software but the driver...

Not sure if this is of any help to you?

when i encode videos using my gpu, cuda it becomes unstable, crashes and so, nvidia driver crash etc. i got 361.43 and a gtx 970.

and during this it goes mad. like windows basic theme and so. its weird, it never did that before. should i be worried? maybe limit its power limit?

thx  ^_^

Stop using overclocks on your GPU, it does nothing for CUDA.

Old 7770 would show artifacts in final encodes with an overclock, yet no problems gaming.

What are the temperatures on the GPU? Is it overclocked? What is your power supply?

its factory overclocked, should i turn it down to nvidia basic or?

its idle at 49c and under load it gets 72c. and coil wine.

i got a evga supernova g2 550w.

Does crashing occur anywhere else?

In that case i am not sure, Maxwell boosts it's speed depending on temperature anyway so i am unsure you can get around it?

no crashes other than when encoding.

not that its not already powerful enough for me but its weird. that its working hard, fine...but crashes, mm .

Still didnt give me a reason why the driver crash /: might just be something on my side. but i will read it it seems great to know no matter what. i should not use cuda maybe  ^_^ maybe

Yeah i stick to CPU only encodes.. use Handbrake for that final encode, and stay away from editor encodes, just output it RAW.

maybe its just a bad card, as its coil wining

i dont think so... its working flawless 99,9% of the time and that is enough for me, just a bit worried about it shitting when using adobe, thats why. but its all okay. (its my 2nd gtx 970 in one month, last one did shit it self very much...)

and coil wine will happen when you feed the gpu wth a lot power like 95-100% use... its normal and im almost happy to know its working. rather 100 than 0
