hmm. The 5820 will give you a little more overal computing power with it's 6 core so if you do any rendering or other cpu intensive tasks that use all cores you will see an improvement there over the 6700. the 6700 has a little more performance single-core wise and most games use only 2-4 cores. So the 6700 will be better for gaming. And having a big hdd is quite nice, so for gaming i would prefer the i7-6700k build. for editing its the other one.

hope i helped!

I'd go x99 myself... More PCIe lanes, not to mention more cores...

Both are good systems and will do great but I would probably get the 5820K system if you plan to do editing as the extra cores will help, but if you are mainly looking at gaming I would do with the 6700K.

Well what are you using your PC for? Pure gaming? I'd invest in either a 4k or 1440p 144hz/ IPS free-sync display over a higher end CPU in that case

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
