GTX 980 Ti Reference and Zotac Amp Extreme

monjanger

Well, I bought a 980 Ti reference, and now I am starting to doubt my decision.

The Zotac Amp Extreme has a higher clock, is quieter, and has lowers temperatures...

But I bought a 980 Ti Reference...

I still have time to return my card, and it would cost about $15-20 through Amazon.  Is it worth it?

Should I do it? i-used-to-be-indecisive-but-now-i-m-not-

100% return it now.

The 980 Ti is well known as the best of a card that it is because of partners like MSI, Gigabyte, Asus and Zotac slapping aftermarket coolers on custom PCB's. Sure the reference card is fast, but the non reference is faster and for very little extra cost.

Get a AIO and liquid cool the reference. EVGA makes a great one that's plug and play with the reference card.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

I like my amp extreme. Though keep in mind its a really big card. I don't think I can SLI two of them. Even with my x99 Deluxe board. I measured and it would interfere with all the front panel connectors on the bottom.
