Make sure all the old amd drivers were removed, and maybe reinstall the nvidia drivers.

Dat CPU and PSU, tho...

Hmmm, strange how my FX can game pretty well... Czex have you even owned an FX cpu and set it up correctly or are you just part of the ignorant people who buy an intel and think that AMD are shit for no good reason? Both teams are perfectly fine for gaming.

not strange, you run a custom loop at 5ghz.

The current AMD CPU's aren't that good of a choice. They're old, run on a meh platform, and their performance per core isn't great.

Mines not doing too bad tbh considering it's age. Oh did a blind test on the GF she said the i5 was laggy in windows.

Well like it was already stated you have yours running at 5Ghz of course it's gonna run better than usual, but that doesn't mean that it's not an old, hot, CPU on a crappy platform. Also that means nothing, you're just trying to defend your purchase of a eh CPU. Why not get a i5-4690k with higher performance per core that's also cooler and can be OC'd just as far?

I have one, I won a ROG Z97 maximus VII ranger 2 nights ago on ebay and I have a delid mount, etc etc etc, I'm just waiting to take back this Z170 motherboard I broke after we've built my gf's 6600k rig. Is that okay with you or shall we dance a little longer? I find it funny when you guys come in here swinging away and I'm not even mad. :D

You sure seem like it. You were super defensive about your 8350. It's no secret that the FX series aren't good CPU's for their money anymore- their just an overclocking toy at this point.

Your i5 is a toy too my friend. In games with hyperthreading enabled it runs out of breath faster than a fat kid after a rolling doughnut.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

What are you talking about? Games with hyperthreading enabled? Games just don't go "you now have hyperthreading, and if you don't- you're screwed!"
