1080p, What size monitor?

DarkBlade2117

So when I upgrade my PC I dearly need a new monitor. My current 21inch 1920x1080 is not big enough and the 19inch 1600x900 just is old and the colors are meh.

I'd use my current 1080p as a secondary monitor until I am able to get two of them. I was thinking of this

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/acer-monitor-umkg7aa001 Which I can go get at my MicroCenter for $150 or I can order ( What I think to be ) an extremely sexy AOC monitor http://pcpartpicker.com/part/aoc-monitor-i2757fh Though at 27inches I think I may be pushing 1080p though I need some second opinions. Though, maybe by the time I get these monitor ( It could 3 weeks, could be 6, No more then 2 months from now though ) 1440p may be a bit cheaper as some 1440ps like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009728&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= or http://www.microcenter.com/product/433165/K272HUL_27_Widescreen_IPS_LCD_Monitor have come down in price.

So what do you think? 25 inch or 27 inch for 1080p? Or if 1440 goes down in price would 25inch be to small or the minimum for it?

22-24" 1080(25 is still pretty much the same) 25-27" 1440  25inch 1440 looks really sharp, but if your eyesight is pretty bad it might be too high density to use without scaling.

The 25 inch is probably the max for 1080p then? I mean it is $150 for a pretty solid monitor to me.

For 1440p it depends basically. I wear glasses though it is for lazy eye not eye sight but I think 27inch would be the better choice in the end, especially if I end up with one of those Free-Sync monitors down the road when a bit more money comes in. Thanks

Yeah 25 inch 1080p is still pretty good.

27 inch 1440p is definitely the nicest. 25 inch is just a little cheaper and sharper.

Yeah, 25" max for 1080p imo. I bought a 1080p 27" ... beautiful monitor but the low dpi was so apparent that I returned it. Got a 24" and it's great. HP makes some nice 25" IPS displays.

I depends on how you like to sit at your desk.  I have a 27" 1080p monitor but since it sits like 2 feet away from me, I don't see anything wrong with it. I also have a 24" 1080p to my right which is maybe closer or further away.  I can't tell but I can sometimes see the outlines of pixels.
