I dont know of any editing programs that uses more then 1 GPU, so that $600 is better spent on faster mass storage.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

He said he needed CUDA cores.

So this makes sense.

So this makes sense.

As I said, I dont know of a single editing program that makes use of more then 1 GPU.

If cuda cores are that important, then the Titan X has the highest, outside Quadro cards.

Edit:

Seems its possible, but I havent seen any option for it.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/multi-gpu-technology.html

Edit again:

Never mind, seems its an Quadro function.

I speak my mind, sorry if thats a problem.

oopsy!

Both Titan X and Quadro M6000 has 3072 CUDA cores.

The SeanAngelo list looks pretty good but I would either bump up to a 5960X or bump down to a 5820K.  The 5960X will still leave you below the $3500.00 price point.

The difference between the 5820K and the 5930K is really in the max number of PCIe lanes. If you're not using multiple graphics cards I don't assume you'd need the extra lanes.

- ASUS X99 Deluxe - i7 5820k - Nvidia GTX 1080ti SLi - 4x4GB EVGA SSC 2800mhz DDR4 - Samsung SM951 500 - 2x Samsung 850 EVO 512 -

- EK Supremacy EVO CPU Block - EK FC 1080 GPU Blocks - EK XRES 100 DDC - EK Coolstream XE 360 - EK Coolstream XE 240 -

Yeah, but it seems they dont work equally:

You are most of the time better off with a Quadro.

I know differences b/w Quadro and Geforce cards mate.

The OP didn't mention anything about what he is going to edit.

So I put the less expensive GPU there. If he mentioned that he is gonna use 3D rendering and stuffs, I would have swapped that 980 Ti to a Quadro card.

You cant get an Quadro card on that budget, that could beat the Titan X.
