Nothing works unless its launched as admin! HELP !

Go to solution Solved by techguru,

I just did the upgrade. It was working for a while but recently it derped and needs me to hold its hand while it does stuff.

it sounds like you need to do a clean install of 10..you really should have done it right after you did the upgrade

My problem is that when I'm playing something like Battlefield 4 I change my graphics and then press save, but when I close the game and re-open it it is all back to default unless it is in administraotr mode and I dont know why.

Everything needs to be run as administrator or it wont work!

it does this with almost every application I've got. Please help me.

Its incredibly frustrating!!

I just need a clear method because im going insane. It is the most frustrating thing ever.

Almost everything needs to be ran as administrator to load up, and almost everything needs administrator to read/write files! So I cant change my graphics in games, I cant save game progress or anything. At this point im losing the hope to live.

Also, I dont mind creating a new user account aslong as I dont lose any of my data.

Thats a bit extreme... Like others said, your ownership of the HDD is probably not there. I have had this happen after I put my HDD in a friends PC to copy a file, the HDD ownership chsngrd from me to him

How can I get the ownership or whatever ?

IF anyone wants, I'll host a teamviewer so you can see it. Its driving me up the walls!

I dont mind turning off administrator popups. But I just want it to disable the popups when launching a game, so I can launch it and it will automatically launch as admin without the popup. That would be nice. But I still want it to warn me on other things, like if a virus wants to take over. If this is possible ill take this offer.
