Msi X99 Gaming 7 or Msi X99 gaming 9

Hi guys,

 

So to tell the story short my X99 Xpower motherboard developed a bios issues where it would flicker and not display elements correctly so amazon have asked me to return the board for a full refund, I am planning on getting a different board just because I don't want to have the same issue again as it's inconvenient to keep draining my loop to remove the board so I am looking at msi's gaming series but I suspect these use the same bios chip anyway. I did consider the Msi godlike gaming x99 board but other than it's higher quality audio chip and usb C it doesn't appear to offer anything over the gaming 9 and cost considerably more.

 

The other one I looked at was the Asus republic of gamers board but i'm not a huge Asus fan just due to their customer service not being great.

I might as well tag this into this question in one go I would also like to be able to use the MSI SLI bridge and the EK terminal sli connector but with the x99 board the two 16x slots aren't spaced correctly to allow this being that both the sli bridge and the EK terminal (the Terminal I already bought but it didn't have correct spacing on the Xpower board either) require 2 pci-e port in between the gpu's so if I run top slot and then 4th slot on something like the gaming 9 would the card run in 16x 8x or would they run 8x 8x I understand from Linus's video on Pci-e speeds that x8 speeds are still fast enough for today gpu's.

it's a nice board but my theme is red and the white wouldn't really go well

I'm running two titan x's and the streaming engine from what I have read is a separate x264 encoder built on the motherboard that takes care of streaming but I think it is only usable with X-split
