Win7 recognizes 2/3GB RAM, Speccy recognizes all 3GB. Should I worry?

Well, I'm not going to worry too much considering this rig suffers from a significant CPU bottleneck anyway, but I'd like to know if there's an easy way to fix this or if it's an issue that should worry me in any way. Since Windows does only recognize 2/3 of what I have, that's also what's shown in the task manager. Though I'm uncertain of why this is happening (2GB/1GB modules), I would like to know if I can use more than 2GB of RAM if needed.

Have you tried running Memtest or Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool?

Old kit, also it works fine based on the memtest I just did.

Old kit, also it works fine based on the memtest I just did.

Sounds like a problem with Windows.  I'd do some digging around on google.  Some suggest that enabling memory remapping in the BIOS may work.

First of all. Did you install windows 32 bit instead of 64 bit?
