Is this 8 Bit colour depth?

Yes, 8 BPC is 8 bits per color

This is my ACER monitor, overclocked to 74.9hz at native resolution, running full RGB and is that 8 BPC the bit amount?

8 bit is like the actual what is shown on the screen color depth. 8 bits is the typical display color depth of most monitors, with 10 bit monitors usually reserved for professional monitors.

It's 8 bit color but you have to know if it's TRUE 8 bit color or if the monitor is using 6 bit + FRC or 6 bit + Hi-FRC.  You can only know that by knowing the hardware specs of the panel.  They usually tell you if it has FRC or high FRC in the detailed specification page or service manual.

 

So...what Acer panel is that anyway?
