arch linux wifi problems

Go to solution Solved by Opask,

im going to try to install drivers and i have a Dell Wireless WLAN 1520 so which driver would i need? https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers

No if it worked before, installing some random driver isn't going to fix it.

First off have you read the arch wiki page for gnome?

It says that gnome uses its own network manager simply titled 'networkmanager'. It provides a service that needs to be enabled:

systemctl enable networkmanager.service

The wired network seem to be working but when I run wifi-menu it scans them says there are no networks and in gnome it says that airplane mode is on and i cant switch it off

are you sure you have the right driver installed? Sometimes you need to hunt down a proprietary driver depending on what wireless card you have.

When I connect to the internet I have to use "ip link set wlo1 down" before wifi menu. Find your device name and try that

Awesome.

Just remember 90% of your problems on arch will probably be solved by checking the wiki or man pages.
