Its fine, as long as you don't ldle to hot. (over 80) It is still good. Its designed to run hotter. If you let it go to 80c in games than it would not require the fans at 100%

That is pretty normal. My 980 idles at 50C with the fans at 0. At 100% load it sits at 70-72C at 80% fan speed. As long as its under 75 ish under load you are good. Nvidia says the cards can operate safely at 81C.

The "auto" fan setting should be ok. If you want to change it you can make a custom fan profile in MSI afterburner.

Yes. Its good that your GPU is using every thing it has in games.

Okay, then there's something wrong. Some games only use 80 - 90% unless that's fine.

I try and use NZXT CAM to see everything but some games wont allow it.

Load temp is a tad bit high maybe? What do you mean MSI? What cooler does it use? Reference? Twin Frozr?

My idle is 53C fan off. Load temp with 100% fan speed is 55-56C I believe.

What's the temp on load with auto fan profile? Does it throttle?

You should make a gentle curve up, so at 60c fans should be at 60%, and at 80c it should be at 90%, and 85c it should be 100%

And no, it should not use 98-100% in low end games. But for high end graphically intensive games then yes its normal. Like BF4, Far Cry 4, fallout, battlefront, R6 siege. But also if you have a 60 hz monitor than running past 70 fps is a waste of energy and cause more heat. I am not sure what nvidia has but something equivilent to FTC from AMD. Would help.

It is kinda hot though, I tested a 980ti G1 gaming and it was at about 65c at 50% fan in battlefront.

In older games your GPU might not hit 100%. This is ok as long as you are not getting terrible FPS. However if you are playing more modern games that are demanding and you are not getting high 90% GPU usage it might be a sign of a bottleneck, or something wrong with your card.

Hm, okay. What's the best to see % used. NZXT Cam only works with some games.... Really annoying

I would not recommend running your card at over 80C. This high temp for long periods of time might shorten the life span of the card.

You should run it for a little longer. It looks like the temps have not yet stabilized yet. Do a 10 min test and see where the temps get.

10,000 frames is a benchmark. You want to stress test.
